Hello, welcome to my portfolio site! My name is Sofia Mendez Cruz. I'm an R&D Engineer with an extensive art background. I recently graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical Engineering and a Minor in Computer Science. I attended Design and Architecture Senior High from 2017 to 2021, where I was a fine arts and industrial/product/transportation design student. The work displayed on this website is primarily from my work in those years. After high school, I decided to pursue engineering, specifically in the medical field as I found the interaction between design, engineering, and human biology to be fascinating. In my time in university I've had the chance to take very compelling courses and complete challenging projects, some of which are also included in this site. The skills I gained from my art education have been invaluable in my journey as an engineer. Thank you for visiting!
